Paul Frederick Fonstad, 77, of Buda, TX [previously of Northfield and St. Paul, MN], passed away peacefully on November 8th, 2020. Paul was born in St. Paul, MN on August 28, 1943.

Paul went to Harding High School [St. Paul, MN] and went on to earn a degree in Psychology from the University of MN. He worked many years as a Manager for UNISYS and Best Buy. Paul was an amateur genealogist and enjoyed connecting with relatives, music, art, reading, and telling jokes and stories as a self-described raconteur. He was interested in learning about people and could make a friend anywhere. Paul was always curious and had a love for books and learning.

Paul is survived by his wife, Ruth; children Eric Fonstad, Nicole Middleton, Leslie [Brent] Zielie, Rachel Fonstad, and Hannah [Ben] Grant-Roy; grandchildren Ryan Fonstad [Erica Tweedly], Alex Fonstad [Hannah Eversole], Brandon Middleton, Logan Middleton, Hunter Middleton, Roan Zielie, Teagan Zielie, Boden Grant-Roy; and great-grandchildren Owen and Brooks Fonstad. He is preceded in death by his parents Orland and May Fonstad, and son Christopher.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul's honor to PAWS Shelter of Central Texas (pawsshelter.org) or Inspired Minds Art Center (inspiredminds.art).
