Such a tragedy. There are no words to soothe the pain of losing such an accomplished young woman so early in her life that obviously was filled with great promise. We will always remember Shelby in our prayers and pray that those she leaves behind can find the strength to deal with the sorrow. Jim & Karen Arias

Prayers to the family and loved ones for such a tragic loss. Though I did not know Shelby our paths crossed that fateful day. Cap Tex Cruisers witnessed the crash and we immediately rushed to her aid. Know that she was not alone and did not suffer. It has rocked us to the core and we can only imagine the immense loss to those who knew and loved her. Fly high, angel. - Fellow cyclist

Sending my most sincere condolences and love to the family and friends of Shelby. Though I didn't know her personally, Shelby has been on my mind and heart lately after reading about her beautiful spirit - a true reminder to embrace life with zest, as it seems she did. My son is also in heaven, so I know some of the unimaginable pain and grief you must be experiencing and my heart aches for you all. May you continue to see her in the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

I'm one of the echo techs at Dell Childrens. I worked with Shelby in the CCU. I didn't know her very well. One day a couple weeks ago it seemed like she made a point of saying hi to me. I hope she knew I was smiling behind the mask when I said, "Hi. How are you doing?" In reply. I am so sorry for your loss and ours. May God be with you.

After reading Shelby’s accomplishments, I understand why God called her home so soon. She was an Angel on Earth! R.I.P. Shelby!
I can’t imagine the pain you are feeling. Death leaves heartache behind that is impossible to heal. Love leaves behind memories that will go on for years.
Please know you are in my prayers. Pamela Jolly-Eakes

What a beautiful, strong, and accomplished young woman. She changed lives in her short time here. May there be many who learned from her, and will be led by her example of how to make the world a better place. Prayers for peace and healing to her family.
